UPCOMING RELEASE: The Fred Roth Revue "Fred Not Amused" is scheduled to release in May 2012
EMP Seattle Now showing NIRVANA through April 2013The Experience Music Project is now showing the most extensive exhibit about the northwest music scene (dare we call it the grunge era? forgive us, we hate the name grunge but for the sake of understanding...) featuring the band Nirvana. Click here
Also included in the Nirvana exhibit at EMP is an interactive wall which displays the names of a sample of other bands that called the northwest home during this time (around 1989 ish!). One such band representing Seattle is the band IMIJ, who's members include Shannon Funchess, Davee C, Chris Stringfield, Lonnie King, and Cedric Ross (also known as Fred Roth of the Fred Roth Revue). Each band represented on the interactive all has a song you can listen to. The song listed for IMIJ is called Crackdominium (from the EP The In Godz You Lust produced by Steve Fisk and John Goodmanson). Go to EMP and check out the Nirvana exhibit today.
Steve Fisk is a celebrated producer and sound engineer from Seattle who has worked with bands like Nirvana, Soundgarden, Pigeonhed, IMIJ, and The Screaming Trees (to name but a few).
